"Negro" Statistics Regarding Ownership and Careers in 1912

The article titled “Negro Race Has Billion in U.S” from the Liberal News publication of Liberal, Missouri, dated June 21, 1912, sheds light on why so-called “Black Americans” are often considered the “underclass” on their own lands. It’s evident that certain groups fear the potential resurgence of Black wealth and prosperity. You can recognized its members by the ones who scream the loudest against reparations/restorations. Through further research, one can discover that many laws were enacted specifically because of “Blacks” or indigenous peoples like us. For instance, did you know that the first gun control law in the territory now known as the United States was passed in Virginia in 1640? It explicitly prohibited so-called “black” people from owning guns, even if they were not prisoners of war or “slaves.
