Yesterday, Moberly bid farewell to Chas. S. Sager, one of the finest colored comedians to visit in recent years. Sager departed for Hannibal, where he will lead the Emancipation Day exercises. Known for his exceptional talent, Sager plans to form a select company and present his renowned production, “South in Slavery,” to the citizens of Hannibal.
Residents of Hannibal can look forward to an evening of entertainment that promises to be both engaging and enlightening. With Sager’s reputation for delivering top-notch performances, this event is set to be a highlight of their Emancipation Day celebrations. We assure them that Sager’s production will be an event well worth attending, reflecting the rich history and cultural significance of Emancipation Day.
