Today, large crowds of Negroes are celebrating Emancipation Day. Every incoming train was packed, and many people arrived in carriages. This afternoon, a ball game and picnic were held at the fairgrounds. Tonight, there will be a dance. As of now, the crowd has been very orderly, and no arrests have been made.
