In an exciting display of baseball prowess, Moberly’s Oliver Harvey Legion Post Red Socks defeated the Independence A.B.C.’s with a 15 to 11 victory yesterday at Lockwood Field. The local Negro team showcased their offensive strength in what turned into a thrilling batfest.
Looking ahead, the Red Socks are set to face the Columbia Legion nine at Lockwood Field this Sunday afternoon. This match holds special significance as the Moberly team aims to avenge a narrow 8 to 7 loss to the Columbia club from three weeks ago.
